Spiced pepita salad topper




Crunchy, flavorful, and oh-so-addictive, this recipe for Spiced Pepita salad topper will take your snacking game to the next level! Ingredients

1 cup pepitas

1/2 tsp garlic power, onion powder, coriander powder, smoked paprika, salt

1/4 tsp turmeric, Chinese 5 spice powder,

1 tsp oil


Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line an oven tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, combine the pepitas, garlic powder, onion powder, coriander powder, smoked paprika, salt, turmeric, Chinese 5 spice powder, and oil. Mix everything together until the pepitas are evenly coated with the aromatic spice blend.

  3. Spread out the spiced pepitas on the lined oven tray, ensuring they're in a single layer. This will allow them to roast evenly and develop that beautiful crunch.

  4. Pop the tray into the preheated oven and let the pepitas bake for about 15 minutes. Keep a close eye on them, as you want them to turn golden brown and fragrant, but not burned.

  5. Once they're done, remove the tray from the oven and let the pepitas cool for a few minutes. They'll continue to crisp up as they cool down.

  6. Finally, it's time to dig in!
